The Slash (3-1) beat the Pandas (0-4-1) twice this month by scores of 5-1 and 4-1. Sunday the 2017 Esso Cup midget AAA national champions face-off against the Rocky Mountain Raiders (3-0-1) at 4:45 p.m. in Dewinton.

Raiders games

The St. Albert Tire Warehouse Raiders skate into the weekend winless in four games in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League. The Raiders (2-4) visit the 2017 league champion Leduc Oil Kings (2-3-1) today at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday’s game time is 1:15 p.m. against the Canadian Athletic Club (1-4-1) at Akinsdale Arena.

Midget AA Blues

The St. Albert Blues face-off against the KC Colts at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at Go Auto Arena. The Blues (2-1-1) and Colts (0-3-1) are Anderson division teams in the Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League. The last game for the Blues was the 2-1 loss to the host Beaumont Braves (3-0-1) of the CanAccom division last weekend. Keigan Miller scored his team-leading fourth goal and Ryley Osland (1-1-1, 2.00 GAA) stopped 12 shots.

Volleyball at PK

The Paul Kane Blues serve up their last regular season matches at home in Monday’s doubleheader in metro Edmonton division one volleyball. Start times are 5 p.m. for the lady Blues (4-5, 16 GW/20 GL) against the Bev Facey Falcons (7-1) and 6:30 p.m. for the Paul Kane men (3-6, 15 GW/21 GL) against Facey (1-7). The top eight teams in the men’s and women’s divisions advance to the Nov. 1 quarter-finals.

Dawgs volleyball

The Bellerose Bulldogs wrap up league play next week in metro Edmonton high school volleyball. The lady Bulldogs (7-1, 22 GW/7 GL) last year’s division three champions, host the Mother Margaret Mary Storm (2-4) at 5 p.m. Monday. The division two men’s Bulldogs (7-1, 22 GW/7 GL) travel to play the Ardrossan Bisons (4-4) Monday at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday’s showdown against the St. Albert Skyhawks (7-1, 23 GW/9 GL) is 5 p.m. at Bellerose. The first loss for the Bulldogs was 18-25, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25 to the M.E. Lazerte Voyageurs (8-0, 24 GW/7 GL) this week at Lazerte. The men’s and women’s playoffs start Nov. 1.
