The St. Albert Miners are shooting for their 11th consecutive win this season and the 37th in a row when the senior B team hosts the Beaumont Outlaws tonight in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.
Ball drop is 8 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
Beaumont (3-10) is ranked near the bottom of the seven-team standings.
Last weekend the Miners posted wins of 16-5 over the Edmonton Warriors (9-3) in the Darian Mar No. 77 Memorial Game in Fort Saskatchewan and 12-5 over the Rockyview Knights (8-4) in St. Albert.
The Miners' winning streak started in the second game of the 2016 regular season and the Knights are the last team to record a point against the defending Presidents' Cup national champions and it was the 7-7 tie in last year's league opener in St. Albert.
Keegan Bol racked up four goals and five assists against the Knights and Richard Lachlan also fired four goals.
Darren Kinnear potted a pair and Ryan Dilks and Cam Sedgwick notched singles.
The scoring stats against the Warriors were unavailable at press time.
Saturday the Miners are in Calgary to play the Mountaineers, last year's provincial finalists, at 6:30 p.m. at Stu Peppard Arena and Sunday they face-off against the Knights in Airdrie at 4 p.m.
Thursday the St. Albert Crude hosts the Fort Saskatchewan Rebels in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.
Game time is 9 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
The Crude (4-8) and Rebels (3-11) are fifth and sixth, respectively, in the junior B Tier I north standings.
The fourth loss in a row for the Crude after winning a season-high three consecutive games was Saturday's 8-6 setback against the Edmonton Warriors (4-8-1) at George Hughes Arena.
Period scorers were 2-0 and 6-4 for the Warriors.
Tyler Dion struck twice and Ben Holowaty added three assists.
Sunday the Crude plays the south-division Rockyview Silvertips (2-10) at 3 p.m. at Spray Lakes Centre.
Brittany Kindzierski tallied twice against her former team as St. Albert Impact Premier women's team posted its third win in row in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.
Kindzierski scored her seventh and eighth goals in Sunday's 4-1 decision against Victoria (2-4-1) at the ESA Complex.
Last year Kindzierski led the Victoria premier side in scoring with 11 goals.
Vanessa Bulmer and Kirsten Schindal also found the back of the net as the Impact (5-2-1) extended their undefeated streak to five matches.
Tuesday the Impact played Angels Scottish SC 3 (2-4-1) in St. Albert but the score was unavailable at press time.
The next match is against defending champion Northwest United (7-0) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Riel Park.
