Online registrations for the 12th annual Fall Challenge closes tonight at 11:59 p.m. at www.events.runningroom.com.
Sunday’s competition on the Red Willow trails includes the 21.1-kilometre half-marathon run/walk (two laps), 10-km run/walk (one lap) and five-km run/walk.
Kingswood Park is the race venue and the start times are 8 a.m. for the half-marathon walk and 9 a.m. for the half-marathon run, 10-km run/walk and five-km run/walk.
The .5-km kids’ race goes at 11:30 a.m. and there is no pre-registration.
As of Monday, 73 registrations had been processed for the half-marathon run, 13 for the half-marathon walk, 54 for the 10-km run/walk and 12 for the five km run/walk.
Last year there were 275 finishers for the half marathon run/walk, 10-km run/walk and five-km run/walk.
The half-marathon winner was Paul St. Amant of Bonnyville in one hour, 23 minutes and 14 seconds and the fastest female was Shannon Maisano of St. Albert at 1:27:01 for third place overall out of 130 runners.

The St. Albert Men’s Soccer League finals kick off Sunday at the Victoria Soccer Club.
Tuesday’s playoff winners between GSE versus SA United and SV Spurs versus Chester City will advance to the 3 p.m. final and the losers will play in the third-place game at 1 p.m. Scores were unavailable at press time.
GSE (13-1-1), the two-time defending SAMSL champions, and the Spurs (10-4-1), the Alberta Soccer Association Tier 3 bronze medallists, finished first and second, respectively, in the league for semifinal berths.
The remaining teams competed in a round-round format to determine the semifinal pairings. Chester City (3-0 and 6-9-3 overall) placed first, followed by SA United (2-1 and 8-9-1 overall), Magnitude FC (1-2 and 8-8-2 overall) and SA City (0-3 and 1-15-2 overall).
