Team Canada also edged South Korea 7-6 in the Page 1-2 playoff.

In the final the Canadians scored a deuce in the seventh end to lead 4-3 and stole two points in eight to break the game open against the first South Korean rink to qualify for junior worlds.

In the round robin South Korea defeated Canada 8-6 in an extra end as both teams finished 7-2.

Coderre, 27, a first-year head coach, was joined at worlds by her father, Garry, the associate coach for the University of Alberta curling program who served as the Canadian Curling Association team leader.

The Alberta Pandas’ foursome is also the seventh Alberta rink to win the junior women’s national title.

Rocque is the only player with U20 junior eligibility remaining from the team that compiled a 26-4 record in the provincial, national and world championships.
