Registrations are being accepted for the Landrex St. Albert Road Race, presented by Active Physio Works on April 23.

Visit www.zone4.ca to enter the historic 32nd annual 10-miler, plus the 10-kilometre race, five-km race and the kids’ one-km fun run.

Organizers are working with Athletics Alberta to make the five km a sanctioned three-km race.

Registration closes April 21. Check out www.stalbertroadrace.com for more information.

Proceeds from the event will help support the You Can Ride 2. The learn-to-ride is a free, accessible program that teaches children with special needs or coordination challenges how to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle.

Volunteers can also sign up for the road race by contacting Bobby and Taylor at [email protected].

Secure your spot at the Leading Edge Physiotherapy RunWild on May 7 by registering at www.runwild.ca.

The event features the five-kilometre walk/run, 10-km walk/run, half-marathon run and WildOnes MaraFun for youths four to 12 years old.

Since 2011, RunWild has averaged 1,850 runners per year, including 670 youths and 17 schools involved in the 2016 MaraFun.

Students complete the last 1.6 km of their own 42-km marathon, which started at their schools by running or walking one km at a time after spring break leading up to RunWild.

Schools interested in the Marafun event can contact [email protected].

RunWild has also raised more than $365,000 for the Zebra Child Protection Centre and St. Albert Seniors Association.

The 2016 RunWild was restricted to the MaraFun because of the temporary loss of the race headquarters at the St. Albert 50 + Club and construct at the start/finish staging areas that affected the logistics of the routes.
