Five out-of-province teams have been confirmed for the Presidents' Cup senior B lacrosse championship, hosted by the St. Albert Miners Aug. 28 to Sept. 4 at the Leduc Recreation Centre.
The Langley Warriors, Saskatoon Brewers, Brooklin Merchants of Ontario, Native Suns of the Can/Am league and Kahnawake Mohawks of Quebec will join the Miners, this year's provincial champions, and the runner-up Calgary Mountaineers in the eight-team tournament.

The Miners are 20-0-1 in league and playoffs combined while riding a 20-game winning streak into nationals.
The Miners were national bronze medallists in 2014.
The St. Albert Merchants of the Capital Junior B Hockey League are accepting registrations for their conditioning camp.
The ice sessions are Aug. 29, 30 and 31, from 9:15 to 10:45 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena.
Registration is limited to the first 20 skaters and four netminders. The cost is $50 per player.

The first league game is Sept. 18 against the Spruce Grove Regals at 8 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
Last season the Merchants (24-12-2) placed third in the west division and their playoff run ended in game five of the best-of-seven semifinal against the Wetaskiwin Icemen.
A trio of local paddlers with the St. Albert Canoe & Kayak Club raced to podium finishes at the recent Prairie Divisional Championships in Regina.
Jeremie Bennett, 15, was the runner-up in the kayak single 200 metres and 1,000m in the U16 category for a berth at the Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships, Aug. 30 to Sept. 3 at Lake Banook in Dartmouth, N.S.
Jason Watamaniuk, 15, placed second in the K-1 4,000m and third in the K-1 500m in the U15 division and teamed up with Bennett to finish second in the K-2 U19 division.
Aidan Stock, 13, won the K-1 200m and was second in the K-1 4,000m in the U13 division.
The peewee AAA season ended for the St. Albert Cardinals with one win at the U13 westerns last weekend in Saskatoon.
The third-place team at the Baseball Alberta Tier I championship lost 15-0 to the Sask Five Giants (4-1), 7-2 to the Abbotsford Angels (4-1), the western gold medallists, and 14-3 to North Winnipeg (2-2) before winning 11-6 over the Swift Current Indians (1-3).
The Parkland Twins (1-3) also represented Alberta at westerns.
The St. Albert Angels finished fourth at the recent U18 Western Canadian Softball Championships with a .500 record in Winnipeg.
The U18B provincial silver medallists won four and lost four in the round robin and playoffs as the second Alberta seed in the eight-team tournament. The Red Deer Rage (5-3) were awarded bronze.
The Angels started off westerns with three consecutive wins before dropping three in a row, including an 11-2 setback to the Winnipeg Lightning (MB #1), the gold medallists.
The Angels closed out the tournament by beating the Manitoba Angels (MB #2) 7-6 and lost 10-3 to the South Interlake Phillies (host), the silver medallists, for an overall season mark of 32-15-1.
The Girls Prairie League Softball B division champions also won the Strathmore Mother's Day Tournament and the 19th annual Fastball St. Albert Invitational Tournament.
