The last game for the Bulldogs (2-3) before the Nov. 7 playoffs is Thursday against the Jasper Place Rebels (2-3) at 5:30 p.m. at Larry Olexiuk Field. Meanwhile, the season is over for the senior Bulldogs (3-4) after Friday's 49-14 loss to the Crusaders (5-2) in the opening playoff round in the division one Carr conference.

A Sports Central donation drop-off box will also be situated in front of the Guest Services location for new or gently used sports equipment items. Sports Central will gather, recycle and redistribute the equipment to those in need in northern Alberta, including St. Albert.

Minor football

The undefeated St. Albert Riders line up against the Edmonton Chargers for the Capital District Minor Football Association Tier I peewee championship Sunday.

Kickoff is 5:30 p.m. at Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove.

The winner hosts the Calgary Peewee Football Association champion in the Football Alberta Tier I final Nov. 10.

The senior varsity Riders are 9-0 (410 PF/34 PA) after stomping the Sherwood Park Rams 46-0 in the Susan Morgan division semifinal last Saturday.

The Riders led by 24 at halftime against the fourth-place Rams (5-4).

In league play, the Riders beat the Chargers 35-14 Sept. 15.

The third-place Chargers (6-3) knocked off the second-place Millwoods Grizzlies (7-2) in the semifinals.

In the bantam Marv Mills division, the junior varsity St. Albert Fury defeated the Edmonton Seahawks 22-17 in Sunday’s Tier IV semifinal in Spruce Grove.

The Fury (2-6) lost to the Seahawks (2-6) in league play 38-28 Sept. 30.

The Tier IV final for the Fury starts 10 a.m. Sunday in Spruce Grove against an opponent still to be determined.
