Impact Premier The St. Albert Impact Premier women’s team ended the Edmonton District Soccer Association fixtures with a forfeit win against St. Albert Impact 1 on Tuesday.

The St. Albert Impact Premier women’s team ended the Edmonton District Soccer Association fixtures with a forfeit win against St. Albert Impact 1 on Tuesday. Impact Premier (13-4-1) finished third in the premier table and was plus-31 in goals for/against. The previous match for Impact Premier was the 1-0 loss to first-place Green & Gold (15-1-2, plus-44) Aug. 20 at the ESA Complex and the last win was 4-0 against Hearts United (3-14-1) Aug. 15 at Riel Park. Casey Paplawski led the team in goals with 10, followed by Brittany Kindzierski with eight and seven for Jazmyne Mauthe.

Impact/Inter SC

The inaugural season for St. Albert Impact/Inter SC as a premier women’s division team was a winner in the Edmonton District Soccer Association. Impact/Inter (9-5-4) finished tied for fourth in the 10-team table and was plus-16 in goals for/against after Tuesday’s 4-0 victory over Angels Scottish SC 3 (3-14-1) at the ESA Complex. Kya Soper, Isabelle Dobbin, Mila van der Veen and Christie Wong scored. Dobbin’s goal was her team-leading 11th for second place in division scoring and teammate Alana Mawhinney tied for third with 10. Dobbin also found the back of the net in the 1-1 draw against second-place Northwest United (14-2-2), last year’s division champion, on Aug. 15. and in the 3-1 win against Victoria (8-8-2) Aug. 13. Wong led the way against Victoria with a pair of goals. In four matches against the top two premier teams, Green & Gold (15-1-2) and Northwest United, Impact/Inter lost once and recorded three draws.

Impact 1 women

The sixth and last win for St. Albert Impact 1 in the premier women’s division was a shutout. Charlotte Lendzion was in net and Micheline Nault and Hallee Peters scored in the 2-0 decision against Angels Scottish SC 3 (3-14-1) Aug. 15. Impact 1 (6-10-2) was minus-31 in goals for/against as the seventh-place team in the Edmonton District Soccer Association table.

Impact 2 women

The St. Albert Impact 2 women’s team ended its division 1A season on a winning note in the Edmonton District Soccer Association. Aleisha Weicker, Bittany Pinto and Ava Jahns, a U17 triallist in her first women’s match, scored and Caitlyn Ledgerwood, another U17 triallist, posted the shutout in the 3-0 victory over the ASC Cyclones (3-9-2) Aug. 12. The result secured the team’s spot in division 1A next season. Impact 2 (3-8-3) placed sixth out of eight teams and was minus-six in goals for/against.
