The playoff pairings in pool play have been determined in the St. Albert Men's Soccer League after the regular season fixtures ended Tuesday.
Pool A consists of the Forest Park Rangers (12-1-1), Prestige Worldwide (8-4-2), Chester City (6-8) and LADS FC (3-9-2) and the pool B teams are Impact Alumni (9-3-2), Magnitude FC (7-5-2), DV Youngmen (5-7-2) and Misfits (0-13-1).
The round-robin playoffs start Sunday to determine the final four qualifiers. The two-match aggregate finals for third place and the championship cup are Sept. 12 at Salisbury field and Sept. 17 at Riel Recreation Park.
Last year Prestige defeated Forest Park in the aggregate format for playoff honours.
Forest Park is this year's SAMSL rep at Tier III provincials next month in Calgary as the league's pennant winner.
Tuesday's head-to-head tilt between two of the three St. Albert Impact premier women's teams in the Edmonton District Soccer Association ended in a draw.
The goal scorers were Alana Mawhinney for Impact/Inter SC and Caitlyn Seguin for Impact 1 in the 1-1 stalemate at Riel Park.
Mawhinney's goal was her 10th of the season for second place in the division scoring race.
Tianna Groeneveld was the Impact/Inter SC goalkeeper and Charlotte Lendzion tended the twine for Impact 1.
Impact/Inter SC (7-5-3) is fifth and Impact 1 (5-9-2) is seventh in the 10-team table after the result.
On tap for Impact/Inter SC are matches Sunday against Victoria (7-5-2) at 3 p.m. at Riel Park and Tuesday against first-place Northwest United (13-1-1) at 7 p.m. at the ESA Complex.
Impact 1 plays Tuesday against Angels Scottish SC 3 (3-11-1) at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.
Meanwhile, Impact Premier (11-2-1) is one point back of Green & Gold (11-1-2) for second spot in the premier table after Tuesday's 4-2 win over Angels Scottish SC 2 (8-7-1) at Riel Park.
Casey Paplawski, Vanessa Bulmer, Kelsey Leichtcant and Jazmyne Mauthe scored in support of goalkeeper Jamie Misiaszek.
Paplawski is tied for third in division scoring with nine goals.
Impact Premier is back on the pitch Sunday against Northwest United, the defending premier champion, at 5 p.m. at Riel Park.
Tuesday's match against Hearts United (2-13-1) starts at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.
The St. Albert Rangers close out their division 1A men's fixtures today in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.
Kickoff is 4 p.m. against the Drillers (1-7-5) at the ESA Complex.
The Rangers (6-3-4) will finish fourth overall in the eight-team table after Wednesday's 5-0 loss to Africana FC (8-2-3).
Will Backhouse and Noah Boyko rank near the top of the division scoring race with 10 and nine goals, respectively.
The Rangers are plus-13 in goals for/against.
The last match of the season for the St. Albert Impact division 1A women's team kicks off today at the EDSA Complex.
Start time is 2 p.m. against the ASC Cyclones (3-8-2).
The sixth-place Impact (2-8-3) is winless in four matches and is minus-nine in goals for/against.
