Tuesday's wet weather forced the St. Albert Men's Soccer League to reschedule its last two matches before the playoffs.

Kickoff times this Tuesday at Salisbury field are 6:15 p.m. between Impact Alumni (9-3-1) and Prestige Worldwide (8-4-1), the defending SAMSL playoff cup champion, and 8 p.m. between Magnitude FC (6-5-2) and LADS FC (3-8-2).

The playoff round starts Aug. 13 with two pools of four teams apiece to determine the final four qualifiers. The two-match aggregate finals are Sept. 12 at Salisbury field and Sept. 17 at Riel Recreation Park for third-place honours and the playoff cup final.

Meanwhile, the first-place Forest Park Rangers (12-1-1), last year's playoff cup finalists, will represent SAMSL at the Tier III provincials next month in Calgary.

The premier women's division fixtures continue Tuesday for the St. Albert Impact teams at Riel Park.

Impact Premier (10-2-1) plays Angels Scottish SC 2 (8-6-1) at 6:30 p.m. and Impact/Inter SC (7-5-2) lines up against Impact 1 (5-9-1) at 7 p.m.

Rain washed out this week's matches for the three Impact teams.

Impact Premier is third, Impact/Inter SC is fifth and Impact 1 is seventh out of 10 teams in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The St. Albert Impact division 2A men's team has two matches remaining to nail down a division one promotion next year and a berth in the Tier II provincial playdowns.

The second-place Impact (7-2-3) kick into action Tuesday against the third-place Leduc United/British Rovers FC (7-5) at 6:30 p.m. at Riel Park and Thursday's start time against Strikers HPP is 7 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The Impact are two points back of first-place FC Fizi (8-2-2) and three up on Leduc.

The top two teams receive a division one promotion and qualify for the Tier II playdowns starting Aug. 14.

The St. Albert Rangers can jump past Africana FC with a victory Wednesday against the third-place team in the division 1A table in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The Rangers (6-2-4) and Africana (7-2-3) trail the Edmonton Warriors (9-2-2) and Man City (8-3-2) for a top-two finish and a berth in the Tier I provincial playdowns starting Aug. 15.

The Rangers are coming off an 8-0 thrashing of the last-place Ital-Canadians (0-12-1) this week.

Will Backhouse tallied four times for 10 goals on the season.

Backhouse ranks second in division scoring with one more goal than teammate Noah Boyko.

The last match of the season for the St. Albert Impact division 1A women's team is next Saturday in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Kickoff is 2 p.m. against the ASC Cyclones (3-8-2) at the ESA Complex.

The fourth loss in arrow for the seventh-place Impact (2-8-3) was Monday's 2-1 setback to Rionero FC (9-4) at Riel Park.

Kelsey Carter was the lone goal scorer.

Mavericks 09 are undefeated in nine matches this season when they play the Morinville Ladies on Aug. 13 in the St. Albert Women's Soccer League.

Kickoff is 5 p.m. at Forest Park field.

The Mavericks are 2-0 (9 GF/0 GA) in division one after going 7-0 (48 GF/5 GA) in the single division.

Morinville placed third at 4-3 (45 GF/17 GA) in the single division and is 1-1 (6 GF/5 GA) in division one.

The eight-team single division round-robin determined the first and second division teams for the second half of the season.

Last year the Mavericks ran the SAWSL table at 14-0 while going 17-1 overall as the winners of three division one playoff cups in a row and four in five years and the provincial Tier III silver medal was the team's third medallion after Tier III gold in 2014 and Tier IV bronze in 2012.

The Mavericks will represent SAWSL at the Tier III provincials next month in Calgary.
