Two of the three St. Albert Impact premier women's teams in the Edmonton District Soccer Association crossed paths Tuesday and the difference in the match was one goal.

Brittany Kindzierski tallied three of the four Impact premier goals against Impact/Inter SC as the teams combined for seven at the ESA Complex.

Kindzierski's hat-trick included a well-placed penalty kick.

Jazmyne Mauthe also scored in the first match of the season for Impact premier.

Alana Mawhinney potted a pair and Izabella Dobbin also threaded the needle for Impact/Inter SC, a new St. Albert Soccer Association team that kicked off the EDSA fixtures in last week's 6-2 win over Dreadnaught (1-1).

Late in the match, Impact/Inter SC rattled a ball off the crossbar while going for the equalizer.

Katie Wallbaum, the Impact premier goalkeeper, showed nerves of steel charging off her line several times to stop the opposing players that broke past the defence.

Tianna Groeneveld of Impact/Inter SC also pulled off a number of outstanding diving saves in the second half.

Both teams make their home debuts this Tuesday at Riel Park. Start times are 6:30 p.m. between Impact premier and Green & Gold (1-0) and 8:15 p.m. between Impact/Inter SC and Angels Scottish SC 2 (0-1).

Meanwhile, the Impact 1 premier team lost 5-1 to Green & Gold this week.

Tessa Green scored for the Impact, winless in two matches this season.

Tuesday the Impact are in Sherwood Park to play Dreadnought at 7 p.m. at Strathcona Athletic Park.

The St. Albert Skyhawks square-off against the Bellerose Bulldogs and Paul Kane Blues next week in the metro Edmonton division two pool C men's fixtures.

The Skyhawks (0-1) play Bellerose (1-1) Tuesday and Paul Kane (0-2) Wednesday at Forest Park Field. Kickoff times are 4:15 p.m.

Last week Bellerose beat Paul Kane 5-1.

The next division 2A match for the St. Albert Impact men is Tuesday against Fatboyz FC at 6:30 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The Impact kicked off the Edmonton District Soccer Association fixtures this week and won 6-1 over Mexico FC.

Scoring details were unavailable at press time.

The St. Albert Rangers are back on the pitch next Saturday after kicking off the division 1A men's fixtures in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Start time is 8 p.m. against Man City (2-0) at the ESA Complex.

The Rangers are coming off two matches in three days and the results were the 3-1 loss to E & C United and 1-1 draw with the Edmonton Warriors (1-0-1).

Ryan Sebastianelli scored against United (1-0-1) as the Rangers were unable to take advantage of the cold and wet conditions Saturday afternoon and their opponents made the most of their own opportunities.

John Paterson opened the scoring Monday against Northwest with a header off a corner kick in the first half and the equalizer was a penalty kick midway through the second half.

The St. Albert Impact rallied to tie Azzurri in the women's division 1A season opener this week in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The Impact led 1-0 at the half then fell behind before scoring the equalizer late in the back and forth affair.

Marissa Rocquin and Freya Feely, a pair of U17 call-ups, scored and Mikki Ferreira was in net as the Impact turned in a strong performance in the wind and rain.

The Impact plays the Wind (0-1) next Saturday at 4 p.m. at the ESA Complex.
