Fifty-nine teams are getting their kicks at the Victoria Day Classic this weekend. The annual St. Albert Soccer Association tournament features 25 male and 34 female youth teams, including 12 St. Albert Impact teams (five male and seven female).

Fifty-nine teams are getting their kicks at the Victoria Day Classic this weekend.

The annual St. Albert Soccer Association tournament features 25 male and 34 female youth teams, including 12 St. Albert Impact teams (five male and seven female).

The male divisions are U10, U12 Tier 1, U14/U16, U16 Tier 1 and U16/18 Tier 2 and the female divisions are U12 Tier 1 and 2, U14 Tier 1 and 2/3, U16 Tier 2/3 and U16/18.

Teams from Saskatoon, Regina, Prince George and Yellowknife are also entered.

The second loss in a row for the St. Albert Impact premier women was Tuesday’s 3-2 result against Xavier Academy in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Kirsten Marshall tallied twice for the Impact (1-2) against Xavier (2-0-1) at Foote Field.

The Impact host Dreadnought (0-2) Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.

The St. Albert Impact Rangers remain undefeated in the Edmonton District Soccer Association after Monday’s division 1A match at Riel Park.

Matteo Bruni scored in the 1-0 decision against the Drillers (1-1-1).

The Rangers (2-0-1) have two matches in three days on tap at the ESA Complex, starting next Saturday against the Emerald Exports (2-0-1) at 4 p.m. and Monday against Africana FC (1-2) at 6:30 p.m.

St. Albert Impact goalkeeper Adam Pinco was the team’s man of the match in Wednesday’s scoreless draw against Sherwood Park/Karpaty at Riel Park.

Both teams are 1-0-1 in the Edmonton District Soccer Association’s division 1B table.

The Impact kick the ball Wednesday against the Scona Blues (1-1) at 8:15 p.m. at Coronation Park.

Bailey Kupferschmid and Chloe Schmaltz scored in the second half and Alyssa Luczak posted the shutout for the St. Albert Impact in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over ASC Heat at Riel Park.

The Impact improved to 2-0 and the Heat are 0-2 in the Edmonton District Soccer Association’s division 1B women’s table.

The next match is May 24 against the Green and Gold Classics at 6 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The Edmonton District Soccer Association’s division two indoor champion St. Albert Impact women have out-scored the opposition 13-1 in two division 3A outdoor wins this season.

Jacey Carroll and Chloe Schmaltz lead the Impact in goals with three apiece.

The Impact play next Saturday against the NE Falcons FC (1-0-1) at 4 p.m. at O’Leary High School.
