The St. Albert Impact hosts ASC United in division 1B women’s soccer tonight at Riel Park.

Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The Impact are 1-0-1 and United has two ties in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The Impact’s last match was Sunday’s scoreless draw against ASC Inter (0-0-2) at the ESA Complex.

A howling wind restricted the scoring opportunities for both teams.

The best chance for the Impact was Tessa Green’s shot off the bar.

Ashley Chaput started in net for the second match in a row.

The St. Albert Impact division 1B men make their season debut tonight in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. against Futballers FC at George Luck Field.

The Impact finished fourth last year with six wins, two ties and five losses, with a goals for/against of plus two.

Will Backhouse and Noah Boyko led the team in scoring with six and five goals, respectively. Both players are now with the division 1A St. Albert Rangers.

The St. Albert Impact and Phoenix FC kick into action Thursday at Riel Park.

Start time is 7 p.m.

The Impact won last week’s season opener 5-0 against Wind CT in St. Albert.

Jessica Royer, Karen Vriens, Erika Ippolito, Melanie Seidel and Kate Searle scored and Michelle Brodeur posted the shutout for the 2015 division 3A Edmonton District Soccer Association champions and Alberta Soccer Association Tier 3 gold medallists.

The St. Albert Women’s Soccer League is back on the pitch for its 21st season Sunday.

In division one at Forest Park Field, Mavericks 09 plays the Kickers on the north pitch and the Morinville Ladies and Lady Titans meet on the south pitch. Kickoff times are 4:30 p.m.

In division two at 6:30 p.m., Mavericks 95 hook up with Cosmos FC and the Pink Ladies challenge the Snipe at Forest Park Field and at Eldorado Field it’s the Devils versus Gini’s.

Last year Mavericks 09 (16-0) repeated as division one champions and placed fourth at the Alberta Soccer Association Tier 3 championship after winning provincials two years ago.

The St. Albert Blaze (9-6-1) also repeated in division two and their first division one match is May 26 against Morinville.

The divisional finals are Sept. 18.
