SARFC Firsts

The St. Albert Firsts continued their tear through the Premier League on Saturday with a 56-10 stomping of the Lep Tigers at Ellerslie Field.

The Firsts have been untouchable this year and boast a perfect record of seven wins in seven games.

The team has scored 311 points for and allowed 58 points against for a differential of 253. The second-place Hornets have a point differential of only 160.

The Firsts have next week off to rest and prepare for their away game against the Strathcona Druids on July 26.

The Druids demolished the Lep Tigers 78-0 the last time they took to the field and will be looking to bring that momentum into the Firsts game.

SARFC Seconds

The St. Albert Men’s Seconds pulled out a close win against the Grande Prairie Centaurs Saturday afternoon at Ellerslie Field. The final score was 20-17.

That win put the SARFC Seconds ahead of the Fort McMurray Knights and into second place. The Seconds have been jockeying for position in the standings with the Knights all season long.

On Saturday the two teams will have an opportunity to settle the standings in Fort McMurray.

Hopefully it will have a more definitive end than the last time the Knights played the SARFC. Neither team could find an advantage before time ran out and the game ended in a 26-26 draw.
