The St. Albert Blaze finished fourth overall out of 20 U14A teams in the province after last weekend's championship tournament in Lethbridge.
Sunday's overtime loss to Bowview AU in the bronze-medal playoff wrapped up the season for the St. Albert tweens.
The Blaze came from behind to tie Bowview at four and in OT the teams traded quality chances before the Calgary team scored with 30 seconds left in the first extra period.
The Blaze posted a 2-1 record in pool A of the eight-team provincials with wins of 7-4 against the Medicine Hat Attack and 3-0 against the Lethbridge Rattlers and lost 5-4 to Bowview.
South Calgary Edge, the eventual gold medallists, defeated the Blaze 3-2 in a tight defensive semifinal.
The U12B provincial championship featured top-10 placings for both St. Albert teams in the tournament.
The Legit finished sixth and the Surge placed eighth out of 12 teams last weekend at Servus Credit Union Place.
Shaylee Paulsen scored the only Legit goal in Sunday's 7-1 loss to Edmonton Chaos in the fifth/sixth game.
The Legit's provincial record was 3-2, not counting Saturday's 10-minute mini-game, a 3-2 loss to Chaos in the playoff tiebreaker.
In pool B, the Legit beat the Airdrie Sting 5-3, lost 9-5 to Red Deer Riot and upended South Calgary Flash 9-5.
The crossover playoff against pool C was 4-2 against the Surge as Paulsen, Anna Marsh, Vivian Macsymic and Maya VanBrabant scored.
The pool C record for the Surge was 1-2. The team's 6-2 win over the Rockyford Rangers was followed by losses of 3-0 to Calgary Northwest Voltage and 5-3 to Chaos.
The 4-2 loss to Legit left the Surge with a 2-2 mark against the St. Albert squad.
Sunday's seventh/eighth game against Airdrie was 4-2 for the Sting.
The Lacombe Edge shaded the Leduc Jaguars 4-3 for the provincial title and Voltage downed Red Deer 7-6 for bronze.
The tournament was hosted by the St. Albert Ringette Association.
