Mission ringette
The St. Albert Mission ringette teams are in action Sunday in the Black Gold League.
The U19AA Mission travels to Penhold to play the Central Alberta Sting at 11:30 a.m.
The U19AA record is 13-11-4 overall.
The U16AA Mission takes on the Edmonton Elite at 2:15 p.m. at Donnan Arena.
The U16AA team is 26-4-2 this season.
The U14AA Mission are the visitors against Spruce Grove at 7 p.m. at Tri-Leisure Centre.
The U14AA record is 17-8-4 after winning the Michelle Vandale Memorial Spirit of the Winter Tournament last month at Langley, B.C.
The next tournament for the U14AA and U16AA teams is the 34th annual Golden Ring, Jan. 17 to 20 at Calgary.
REM 15 Royals
Monday the St. Albert Royals host the Strathcona Warriors in the Rural & Edmonton Midget 15AA Hockey League.
Faceoff is 8:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
Friday the Royals played Sherwood Park Senators (9-11-2) at Millwoods Arena and the score was unavailable at press time.
At the Christmas break, the Royals (8-9-4) and Senators shared sixth place and Strathcona (7-13-2) was eighth in the 12-team REM 15 standings.
The Royals were 3-3-1 in December.
Meanwhile, the REM 15 all-star game is Sunday and representing the Royals are defencemen Reid Bokenfohr and Ty Nyszczuk and forwards' Andrew Despins and Aidan Malinowski.
Game time is 1:30 p.m. at Bill Hunter Arena.
Bantam AA hockey
The new year is underway for St. Albert’s three teams in the Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League.
Tuesday the Blues (14-3-5) faceoff against MLAC Alumni (5-11-3) at 7 p.m. at Jarome Iginla Arena.
The Blues and Saints (11-4-4) played Friday at Kenilworth Arena and the score was unavailable at press time.
Sunday the Saints are in Leduc to play the Roughnecks (14-3-2) at 11 a.m.
Thursday the Bears (6-11-2) host SSAC Barbecue Country (3-11-4) at 7 p.m. at Jarome Iginla Arena.
