Tonight the Cardinals (11-4) host the Parkland Twins (10-3) at 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park. Kowaluk is among four returnees from last year’s Tier I provincial champions and fourth-place team at the U15 Baseball Canada tournament.

Last weekend’s three-game series between the Cardinals (16-1) and Calgary Dino’s Black (9-0) in St. Albert was rained out.

This weekend the Cardinals are in Fort McMurray for three games against the Oil Giants (8-10).

Tonight’s bantam AAA game between the St. Albert Cardinals and Parkland Twins starts at 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The Cardinals (11-4) and Twins (10-3) are among the division leaders in the Baseball Alberta league.

This weekend the 2016 Tier I provincial champions and fourth-place team at the U15 Baseball Canada tournament hosts Okotoks Dawgs Black (13-0) at 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

The St. Albert Crude and Sherwood Park Titans clash Thursday in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Ball drop is 9 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The Titans (6-6) and Crude (4-6) and third and fourth, respectively, in the junior B Tier I north standings.

The Crude are winless in two games and the Titans had lost four in a row – including a 15-9 decision to the Crude on May 30 in St. Albert to end a five-game winning streak – before Tuesday’s contest against the Edmonton Warriors. The score was unavailable at press time.

Saturday the Crude plays the Warriors (3-6-1) at 5 p.m. at George Hughes Arena.

Friday the St. Albert Tigers host the Confederation Park Cubs in the Sunburst Baseball League.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial park.

The Cubs are 3-3 and the Tigers are 0-5 in the four-team senior AAA circuit.

Next weekend is the Tigers Baseball Association tournament.

The 2016 tournament was rained out for the fourth time in six years.

Alberta women’s premier rugby scrums down Saturday in St. Albert.

It’s a rare 10:30 a.m. kickoff between the Pirates and the host St. Albert team.

Last weekend St. Albert lost 51-22 at the Pirates Rugby Club.

St. Albert (0-4-1) and the Pirates (4-1) played in the Edmonton Rugby Union’s first division last year before joining the premier ranks.
