Parkland is 2-1 (50 PF/56 PA) and the Storm is 1-1 (63 PF/46 PA) in the nine-team division of the Capital District Minor Football Association.

The Storm lineup of Grade 9, 10 and 11 players have three games left after the Parkland match before the playoffs start.

The St. Albert Skyhawks host the St. John Paul II Patriots of Fort Saskatchewan today to wrap up the metro Edmonton badminton regular season.

Start time is 4 p.m. at the SkyDome.

The Skyhawks and Patriots were both 1-4 in division four before Monday's matches but results were unavailable at press time.

The top four teams qualify for Tuesday’s semifinals.

Meanwhile, the division two quarter-final match between the Paul Kane Blues and Lillian Osborne Legends was played Tuesday but scores were unavailable.

The Blues (10-6) finished fourth in pool A and the Legends (13-1) were first in pool B.

The winner plays the pool A McNally Tigers (14-2) or pool B Strathcona Lords (8-6) in Tuesday’s semifinals.

April 21 is the online registration deadline for the Landrex St. Albert Road Race.

Proceeds support You Can Ride 2, a free program that teaches children with special needs or coordination challenges how to ride a two-wheel bicycle.

The April 23 road race, presented by Active Physio Works, beings at 9 a.m. with the 10-miler at the start/finish line on Sir Winston Churchill Avenue in front of the curling club, the event headquarters.

April 27 is the last day to enter the Leading Edge Physiotherapy RunWild on May 7.

Visit www.runwild.ca to register for the five-kilometre walk/run, 10-km walk/run, 21.1-km half-marathon run and the WildOnes MaraFun for youths four to 12 years old.

As of Monday, 892 runners and walkers were confirmed for RunWild and most of the registrants were MaraFun youths.

RunWild organizers are also recruiting volunteers to assist with various pre-race and race-day duties.
