The St. Albert Storm tackles the West Edmonton Raiders in today’s midget spring league game in the Capital District Minor Football Association.
Kickoff is 3 p.m. at Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Gove.
League play started last weekend and the Storm beat the Fort McMurray Ravens 43-16 and the Raiders lost 33-20 to the Lloydminster Red Dogs.
The league consists of nine teams and the rosters are comprised of Grade 9, 10 and 11 players.
The sixth and last game for the Storm before the playoffs is May 6 against the Raiders at Clarke Park.
The St. Albert Impact tryouts for the outdoor season kick-off Sunday at Riel Recreation Park.
The one-hour session for the men starts at 9 p.m.
Tryouts are also scheduled for April 8 (1 to 3 p.m. for women looking to play premier and 6 to 7 p.m. for men) and April 9 (noon to 1 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. for men and 1 to 3 p.m. for women hoping to play premier or division one).

The Paul Kane Blues host the Bellerose Bulldogs and Salisbury Sabres in metro Edmonton division two pool A badminton Monday.
The first serve is 4 p.m.
In league play, Paul Kane (6-6) is fourth, Salisbury (3-9) is seventh and Bellerose (1-9) is ninth.
Wednesday the fifth-place Sturgeon Spirits (5-7) visit Paul Kane at 4 p.m.
As of Wednesday, 268 male and female runners had registered for the Landrex St. Albert Road Race, presented by Active Physio Works.
The totals include 87 for the historic 32nd annual 10-miler, 37 for the 10 kilometre, 26 for the five km and 118 kids for the one-km fun run on April 23.

The Blue Jays Baseball Super Camp is returning to Legion Memorial Park and registration is underway for males and females nine to 16 years old for the July 13-14 session.
St. Albert is one of 12 Canadian cities to host the camp as Blue Jays’ alumni provide instruction through drills covering hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching and base running.
Last year’s camp in St. Albert sold out with 170 players participating.
