The St. Albert Ringette Association hosts the U12B petite provincial championship this weekend at Servus Credit Union Place.
The 16-team draw features the St. Albert Legit and St. Albert Surge.
The breakdown of the pool teams is as follows.
Pool A: Calgary Northwest LMN8, Leduc Jaguars, Lacombe Edge and Calgary Northwest Fury.
Pool B: South Calgary Flash, Red Deer Riot, Airdrie Sting and Legit.
Pool C: Edmonton Chaos, Calgary Northwest Voltage, Rockyford Ringers and Surge.
The Legit plays Friday against Airdrie at 9:30 a.m. and Red Deer at 1:45 p.m. at Troy Murray Arena and Saturday against Flash at 10 a.m. at Mark Messier Arena.
The Surge skates Friday against Rockyford at 11:15 a.m. at Troy Murray Arena and Voltage at 4 p.m. at Go Auto Arena and Saturday against Chaos at 8:45 a.m. at Mark Messier Arena.
The crossover playoffs start 3 p.m. Saturday.
Sunday the semifinals are 7 and 8:15 a.m. and the 12:30 p.m. third-place game and the 2:15 p.m. final are scheduled for Go Auto Arena.

The Legit roster of six first-year and nine second-year players finished in a five-way tie for fourth place in the Black Gold league with 11 points at 4-3-3 (56 GF/53 GA).
In four tournaments, Legit were finalists at the Turkey Ring in St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Calgary and won in Drayton Valley.
The Legit beat two provincial teams, Airdrie and Flash, in the Calgary tournament.
The Surge were 3-7 (38 GF/56 GA) in league play and 6-9-1 in the regular season with a lineup of nine first-year and six second-year players.
Two wins were against Legit by identical 3-2 scores but Surge lost 4-1 to Legit in round two of the provincial north playdowns.
The Surge were semifinalists at the Drayton Valley and Esso Gold Ring tournaments and placed third at Airdrie Fire on Ice.
The bantam elite St. Albert Raiders start round two in the Alberta Female Hockey League north division playoffs Friday.
Game time is 8:15 p.m. at Troy Murray Arena.
The Raiders also have a home game at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Mark Messier Arena.
The playoff opponent and the rest of the series schedule had not been finalized at press time.
The Raiders (21-4-1) received a round-one bye as the north division leaders and Calgary Fire White (21-2-3) was the top team in the south.
