The 11th annual JP Fiset International, hosted by the Olympian Swim Club, continues this weekend at the Kinsmen Sports Centre.
More than 600 participants are competing in the largest swim meet in western Canada.
Olympian club swimmers from St. Albert include Tristan Arraial, Stephanie Churcher, Kathryn Doyle, Andrea Farmer, Mack Flowers, Danny Gerlach, Julia Marchand and the Lindsey triplets.
The prelims start at 8:30 a.m. today and Sunday and the finals are 5:30 p.m. today and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The male and female age divisions are U12, 13-14 and 15-plus.
Today’s events are the 200-metre back, 50m breast, 100m fly, 200m individual medley, 100m free and 4x50m medley relay.
Sunday’s events are the 50m free, 100m back, 200m breast, 50m fly, 400m free and 4x100m medley relay.

The JP Fiset International started as the Candy Cane meet before it was renamed in memory of Jean Pierre (JP) Fiset, a longtime member and executive director of the Olympian club.
The last home game before the Christmas break for the St. Albert Flyers is against the Lloydminster Rage today in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.
Faceoff is 3:45 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
In the north division, the midget 15 Flyers (12-3-3) are second and Lloydminster (8-4-5) is fourth.
The Flyers are winners of four in a row and 6-2-2 in their last 10 games.
The team’s home record is 8-0-1.
Next weekend the Flyers are in Grande Prairie for two games against the Storm (7-8-3).
The St. Albert Lady Raiders host the Calgary Rangers today in the Alberta Major Bantam Female Hockey League.
Puck drop is 2:15 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The Raiders (6-5-1) are last in the north and Rangers (1-7-3) are fourth in the south.
Sunday, the Raiders visit the north division-leading Lloydminster IceCats (9-3-1) at 1:45 p.m.
The Raiders are 3-1-1 in their last five games.
Sunday, the St. Albert U19 B belle teams in the Black Gold League go head-to-head at Troy Murray Arena.
Game time is 12:45 p.m.
In league play, the B1 belles are 4-4-1 and the B2 belles are 3-6-1.
Friday, the B1 belles played Sherwood Park (2-6) in St. Albert but the score was unavailable at press time.
Last weekend, the B2 belles lost 3-2 to Fort McMurray (8-1-1) in St. Albert.
