At Riel Recreation Park the atom Tier 3/4 Vikings (2-4) line up against the Wetaskiwin Wolverines (0-5) at 10:30 a.m. and the bantam Tier 3/4 49ers (5-1) tackle the Wetaskiwin Warriors (5-1) at 12:30 p.m.

At the Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove the peewee Tier 1/2 Colts (1-5) huddle up against the Millwoods Grizzlies (4-2) at 3 p.m.

Sunday in Spruce Grove the atom Tier 3/4 Buccaneers (5-1) play the Leduc Bobcats (2-3) at 10:30 a.m., followed by the bantam Tier 3/4 Fury (6-0) against the Stony Plain Bombers (0-6) at 12:30 p.m.

The peewee Tier 1/2 Riders (3-3) are in action against the Edmonton Black Raiders (0-6) at 4 p.m. at Coronation Park.

The St. Albert Raiders host the Canadian Athletic Club today in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League.

Faceoff is 1:15 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The Raiders (1-1-4) recorded four ties in their last four games and the Canadians (4-0-2) are the top team in the north standings.

Sunday the Raiders skate against the Southside Athletic Club (1-3-2) at 11:45 a.m. at Bill Hunter Arena.

The St. Albert Slash continue their six-game homestand in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League this weekend with a pair of matches at Go Auto Arena.

The Slash (6-6-1) play the Lloydminster Steelers (2-5-1) today at 2:15 p.m. and the Peace Country Storm (4-5-2) of Grande Prairie at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Slash are 2-0-1 on home ice this season.

Sunday the St. Albert Sabres hook up with the Lloydminster Heat in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.

Puck drop is 5 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The Sabres (3-3-2) are 3-1-1 in October and the Heat (2-5) are the defending league champions.

The Paul Kane Blues have home court advantage next week in metro Edmonton division two women’s volleyball.

In pool B the Blues (4-1) spike the ball Monday against the Mother Margaret Mary Storm (0-5) and Tuesday against the Edmonton Christian Lions (2-2). Match times are 4:45 p.m.

League play in St. Albert Physical Education Council junior high volleyball wraps up next week with matches scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday for the eight boys’ and eight girls’ teams.

The playoffs start Nov. 3 and the Tier 1 city finals are Nov. 13 at Bellerose Composite High School.
