The winner scrums down against the Nor’Westers (6-6-1, five BP) or Clansmen (4-9, 11 BP) in the Sept. 26 north final for the Ken Ann Cup.
The north champion advances to the Labatt’s Cup provincial final Oct. 3 at Ellerslie Rugby Park.
A victory today would also clinch the second-straight Alberta Cup pennant and the fourth in eight years for the firsts.
Last year’s provincial champions beat the Druids 63-14 in the season opener.
The high school junior football teams at Bellerose and Paul Kane huddle up in exhibition action before the metro Edmonton league kicks off.
Today at 2 p.m., Bellerose plays the Henry Wisewood Warriors of Calgary at Johnny Bright Park.
Tuesday at 5 p.m., Paul Kane lines up against the Jasper Place Rebels at Clarke Park and at 6 p.m. Bellerose hosts the Bev Facey Falcons at Riel Recreation Park.
The metro pool B schedule starts Sept. 22 for Paul Kane and Sept. 29 for Bellerose, undefeated the last three years as the metro division one champions as winners of 23 consecutive league and playoff games combined.

Game time is 10 a.m. between the Riders and Colts in the Tier 1/2 season opener in the Capital District Minor Football Association.
The Riders are the 2014 Tier 2 league champions and provincial finalists.

The St. Albert Women’s Soccer League semifinals kick off Sunday at Forest Park Field.
At 4 p.m., the division one pairings are Mavericks 09 (4-0, 14-0 overall) versus Cosmos FC (2-3, 6-5-3) and Morinville Ladies (3-1, 11-2-1) versus Lady Titans (2-2, 8-5).
At 6 p.m., the division two pairings are Snipe (4-0-1, 6-7-2) versus Mavericks 95 (2-3-1, 5-8-2) and St. Albert Blaze (3-1-1, 7-6-1) versus Devils (3-1-2, 4-9-2).
The finals are Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. at Forest Park Field.
The defending champions are Mavericks 09 and the Blaze.
