The Blues are 4-0 and Ardrossan is 2-2 in the Miles division two standings.
In the Football Alberta rankings the Blues are No. 2 in Tier II (750 to 1,249 students) and Ardrossan is No. 5 in Tier IV (449 or less students).
Last week the Blues picked off three passes and recovered seven fumbles in the 36-0 decision against the O'Leary Spartans (3-1). It was the third shutout of the season for the 2013 Miles champions and Tier II north finalists.
The Blues recorded 120 rushing yards, led by Kieran Porter's team-high 58 on 13 carries and six-yard touchdown on the last play of the game
Quarterback Brendan Guy was 21-for-36 passing for 232 yards and three TDs and Naiem Qadiri was the top receiver with six catches for 87 yards, including a 30-yard TD grab.
Friday the St. Albert Skyhawks huddle up against the McNally Tigers in the Miles division two schedule.
Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. at Foote Field and admission is $5.
The Skyhawks are 2-1 and McNally is 1-2 in league play.
Both wins for the Skyhawks were against 0-3 teams: 34-0 against the W.P. Wagner Warriors and 42-0 against the Strathcona Lords.
The Skyhawks, listed fifth in the Football Alberta Tier III (450 to 749 students) rankings as the only metro Edmonton team to crack the top-10, racked up 364 rushing yards and 77 passing yards against the Lords last week.
The ground game was led by Rory O'Donovan's 139 yards on 18 carries and Brandon Jillings added 102 yards on 12 handoffs for TDs of 16 and 26 yards in the fourth quarter.
Logan Tait-Vanderheide also gained 83 yards on five carries and cracked the goal line from the one in the first quarter.
Quarterback Sam Cuciz entered the endzone twice on runs of three and two yards in the first half. Cuciz also completed seven out of nine passes for 77 yards and teamed up with Dan McCartney for a 12-yard TD in the second quarter. McCartney finished with 19 yards on two catches and Jordan Kroeker hauled in three passes for 22 yards.
