The St. Albert Impact have a tough task ahead of them Tuesday night when they take on the undefeated North West United at Riel turf field. The game kicks off at 7 p.m.
The North West United are first in the league 13 games into the season with 11 wins and two ties. They have outscored the rest of the division with 74 goals for and only eight goals against.
The third place Impact have been on fire in the second half of the season and haven't been scored on in four straight games.
St. Albert Crude Saturday
The St. Albert Crude (13-4-0) and the Edmonton Warriors (12-3-1) battle for first place Saturday night in Akinsdale arena. The ball drops at 6 p.m.
The Warriors will be out for revenge after losing to the Crude last Friday 14-11 in a close one.
The win over the Warriors broke the Crude's four game losing streak that threatened to drop the defending North Division champs out of first place.
With only one point separating these two teams Saturday's game promises to be electric.
More St. Albert Crude
The St. Albert Crude wrap up the 2014 regular season Sunday afternoon against the Sherwood Park Titans. The game starts at 4:30 p.m. at Sherwood Park Arena.
The Crude last visited Sherwood Park Arena all the way back in May when they beat the Titans in a close 10-8 game.
The Titans have had a rough second half of the season and lost their last six. They'll be looking to close out the season with a strong showing in front of their fans.
A big win for the Crude will cement their place as the number one team in Junior B Tier One North Division lacrosse league.
Senior Miners
The St. Albert Senior Miners look to finish the regular season off with a perfect 16-0 record Sunday afternoon at Northstar Hyundai Arena. The Sr. Miners are playing host to the Edmonton Outlaws. The game kicks off at 2 p.m.
The Sr. Miners have looked spectacular this season under the direction of head coach Vay Diep and will be looking to carry that dominant style of play into the playoffs.
St. Albert last faced the Outlaws on Sunday when they overcame a shaky first period to secure an 11-7 win.
The Sr. Miners played Friday night against the winless Spruce Grove Slash. The score was not available at press time.
