The St. Albert Stars host the Edmonton Stallions tonight in the Alberta Football League.
Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.
Last weekend the Stars lost the AFL opener 19-10 to the defending champion Calgary Gators in St. Albert.
This is the second season for the Stars, 6-4 overall last year as the AFL finalists.
The bantam AAA St. Albert Cardinals have a three-game homestand scheduled this weekend against the Red Deer Braves at Legion Memorial Park.
Game times are 12 and 3 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Cardinals are 8-3 in the provincial round and 11-9 overall. Red Deer is 5-3.
Tuesday the Cardinals are up to bat against the Sherwood Park Athletics at 7 p.m. in St. Albert.
The next home game for the junior B St. Albert Drillers in Rocky Mountain female lacrosse is Sunday against the junior A Calgary Cardinals.
Ball drop is 1:30 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
Last weekend the Drillers (5-7) suffered their fifth straight loss, 15-6 to the Cardinals (6-4-1) in Calgary.
The Drillers are back on the floor Tuesday against the Edmonton Senior Bandits (4-5) at 8:30 p.m. at Coronation Arena.
The last game before provincials is June 21 against the junior B Calgary Axemen (4-5) at 3 p.m. at Akinsdale.
The undefeated St. Albert S.S. Lazio Rangers are in action Monday against the Edmonton Warriors in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.
Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. at Confederation Park.
The Rangers are second in the division 1A table, with three wins and three ties, after a 1-1 draw with first-place Croatia Hajduk earlier this week.
The result left Croatia with four wins and two ties.
The Warriors have three wins and two losses.
The Rangers are led offensively by Emmett Keenan’s three goals and Mike Thompson and Brent Jenkins have two apiece.
The St. Albert Impact premier women’s team has home-field advantage Tuesday against Wolves FC in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.
Kickoff is 8:30 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.
The Impact are ranked third in the premier table, with seven wins, three losses and one tie. The Wolves are in the middle of the pack with four wins, five losses and one tie.
Last month the Impact defeated the Wolves 3-1 at Foote Field.
Danica Blasius is the Impact’s top scorer with six goals.
