Tonight the Impact 2 squad in division 1B plays the Punjab Warriors at 8:15 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The Impact are second in the 1B table at 11 points, with three wins, two ties and one loss. Punjab has one point in four matches.

Mark McQuaid of the Impact ranks third in scoring with four goals.

Thursday the Impact 1 side hosts AC Milan at 8:30 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.

The Impact were first in the premier table at 14 points, with four wins, two ties and one loss, prior to Monday’s match against last-place Sherwood Park Karpaty. The score was unavailable at press time.

The Impact were unbeaten in five matches and their third straight win was 2-0 over AS Roma last week. Roma and Milan shared second place with 13 points apiece.

Haris Kevac of the Impact is the top scorer in premier with six goals.

The winless St. Albert Junior Cardinals host the Barrhead Orioles tonight in the North Central Alberta Baseball League.

The first pitch is 7:15 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The Orioles are 3-3 while the Cardinals have given up a league-high 53 runs in five losses and have scored only 18 runs in their second season in the senior AA circuit.

The Cardinals are also 0-2 at home, but did go 2-2 in the first annual Rainmaker Invitational Tournament last month in St. Albert.

Sunday the Cardinals have a doubleheader scheduled against the Sturgeon Paladins (1-4), starting at 1:30 p.m. at Archie Jenkins Park in Bon Accord.

Scott Peterson leads the Cardinals in hits with five and RBIs with three.

There have been more rainouts than victories for the St. Albert Cardinals in the Alberta West Central Baseball Association.

The latest game to be washed out was Monday’s home date against the Edmonton Expos.

The only complete game this season for the Cardinals was the 11-10 win over the Edmonton Heat on May 12 at Legion Memorial Park.

The June 2 game against the Fort Saskatchewan Red Sox was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning and the Red Sox leading 4-3 in St. Albert. It will resume July 7 as part of a doubleheader in St. Albert.

Tonight the Cardinals visit the Westlock Red Lions at 6:45 p.m.
