Game times are 5:15 p.m. Tuesday against SSAC Alberta Sportswear, 3 p.m. Wednesday against the PAC Broncos of Spruce Grove, 2:45 p.m. Thursday against the Alaska All-stars and 3 p.m. Friday against the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers.

The playoffs for the 18-team draw are Friday and Saturday.

The Comets (10-4-3) are the top team in the Blue division of the Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League.

Palmer Stang leads the Comets in scoring with nine goals and 23 points.

Graziano Grozic has compiled eight goals and 14 points and Dylan Leslie and Payton McDonald-Corea each have 13 points. Leslie has also scored eight goals and Owen Bourque netted seven.

Carson Ironside (4-3-2, 2.45 GAA) and Matt Clement (6-1-1, 2.50 GAA) share netminding duties.

Meanwhile, the St. Albert Bears (14-3) are first in the Red division as the ERBHL’s overall leaders and the St. Albert Elite Sportswear Blues (12-3-1) are tied for third in the Red standings.

The St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres are back on the ice Jan. 2 in exhibition action against the Okanagan Hockey Academy of Edmonton.

Game time is 6:15 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The two teams will also face-off Jan. 19 at the John Reid Memorial Tournament in the Kal-Tire division. Puck drop is 10:45 a.m. at Go Auto Arena.

They are grouped together in division action with the Colorado T-Birds and the 2016 champion Yale Hockey Academy of Abbotsford.

The Skybox Grill division consists of the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers, Toronto Marlboros, Calgary Bisons and Notre Dame Hounds.

The Holmes division features the Pursuit of Excellence Academy of Kelowna, Red Deer Rebels, Rink Hockey Academy of Winnipeg and the Rocky Mountain Roughriders of Colorado.

The Remax-Brian Cyr division includes the Burnaby Winter Club Bruins, Lethbridge Golden Hawks, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes and Delta Hockey Academy Wild, the 2016 finalists.

Meanwhile, the last game before the Christmas break for the Sabres (21-1-1) in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League was Thursday against the Rangers (19-3-1) in St. Albert but the score was unavailable at press time.

The next league game is Jan. 3 versus the SSAC Southgate Lions (2-18-4) at 8:15 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
