The Capital District Minor Football Association playoffs kick-off this weekend at Fuhr Sports Park for St. Albert’s bantam and peewee teams.
In the bantam division today, the Fury (0-7 in Parker) and Edmonton Raiders Black (1-6 in Bright) huddle up at 10 a.m. in Tier III and the 49ers (6-1 in Bright) battle the Stony Plain Bombers (5-1-1 in Parker) at 1:30 p.m. in Tier I.
Sunday’s peewee division games include the Riders (4-3 in Bright) against the Edmonton Chargers (3-4 in Parker) at 3 p.m. in Tier II and the Colts (1-5 in Fryer) versus the Camrose Buffaloes (6-0 in Fryer) at 4 p.m. in Tier IV.

The St. Albert Tire Warehouse Raiders host two games this weekend in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League.
Faceoff times are 1:45 p.m. today against the Sherwood Park Kings and 1:15 p.m. Sunday against the Lloydminster Bobcats.
In the north standings, Sherwood Park (7-0-1) is first, the Raiders (2-5-1) share fifth place and Lloydminster (1-6-1) is tied for the last spot in the 10-team division.
The Raiders are 0-3-1 since their last win and are 1-3 at home.
Garrett Clegg is the top scorer on the Raiders with seven points and Cole Gupta and Peter Michailides share the team lead in goals with four.
The undefeated St. Albert Flyers carry a seven-game winning streak into today’s contest in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League.
Puck drop is 4:15 p.m. against the KC Centennial (4-4) at Akinsdale Arena.
Sunday the north division leaders visit the Leduc Oil Kings (5-2) at 4 p.m.
The midget 15 Flyers are led by the netminding tandem of Ryley Osland (3-0, 0.33 GAA) and Evan Fradette (4-0, 1.00 GAA) and they are ranked first and second, respectively, in the AMMHL. The duo have allowed only five goals in seven games and recorded two shutouts apiece.
The midget elite St. Albert Sharks and the Peace Country Storm square-off twice this weekend Go Auto Arena.
The north division teams skate tonight at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Sharks (2-1) and Storm (1-0-1) compete in the new Alberta Female Hockey League.
The Sharks are coming off a 6-1 win over the North Central Impact (0-4) Sunday in Leduc.
Bria Fewchuk and Braydee Cardinals tallied twice and Aidan Soltis and Brookelyn Bell also scored.
