First place is on the line in the bantam Bright division between the 49ers (273 PF/78 PA) and Rams (374 PF/70 PA) at 12:30 p.m. Both teams are 6-0.

At 3 p.m. the peewee Colts (1-4) huddle up against the Camrose Buffaloes (5-0) in the Fryer division.

The bantam Fury (0-6) tackles the Sherwood Park Northstars (2-4) at 5:30 p.m. in the Parker division.

The CDMFA playoffs kick-off next weekend.

The St. Albert Mission AA ringette teams grace the ice this weekend in the tween, junior and belle divisions.

The U16AA juniors skate tonight against the Edmonton Elite at 6 p.m. at Terwillegar Community Rec Centre and Sunday they host Sherwood Park at 2:15 p.m. at Troy Murray Arena.

Sunday the U14AA tweens play Sherwood Park at 11:15 a.m. at Glen Allan Arena.

The U19AA belles have games against the Riviere Qui Barre Twisters at 4 p.m. Sunday and the open A Edmonton Elite at 8:15 p.m. Monday at Kinex Arena.

The next tournament for the Mission teams is the Bernadette Price Memorial, Nov. 11 to 13 in Saskatoon.

The Miles conference division two playoffs kick off Monday for the St. Albert High Skyhawks in metro Edmonton football.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. between the sixth-place Skyhawks (2-4) and third-place Leduc Tigers (4-2) at Johnny Bright Park.

Last month the Tigers beat the Skyhawks 27-21 in St. Albert.

The playoff winner advances to the Oct. 28 semifinal at 5 p.m. at Clarke Park and the final is Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Johnny Bright.

The Skyhawks, last year’s playoff finalists, lost their last league game 18-0 to the second-place Strathcona Lords (4-2) Wednesday in Sherwood Park.

The Tier III (school population 450 to 749) north playdowns start Nov. 12 for the Skyhawks against the Mighty Peace league rep in Edmonton.

The only Tier III team in the Miles is ranked 10th in the province.
