Wynn’s three sons will participate in the game. Matthew is the Crunchers’ netminder, Nathan will play defence for the Critters and Alex will help coach the CFCW team.

The Crunchers, billed as a lineup of St. Albert minor hockey coaches, are as follows.

The St. Albert Junior B Merchants are supplying the jerseys and the referee is Joe Becigneul.

Donations in support of the Wynn memorial and endowment fund will be collected at the game, featuring a silent auction and a Chuck A Puck event.

Donations are also accepted through www.stalbert.ca by searching Wynn Legacy.

The City of St. Albert allocated $100,000 to support construction of the memorial at Lacombe Park Lake and the endowment fund for scholarships for youths who wish to pursue a public service, uniformed or emergency services career.

Thursday’s game is the second of 10 on the CFCW Critters Goodwill Hockey Tour of local communities this winter to help with fundraising endeavours for various causes.

The metro Edmonton high school football season is winding down for St. Albert’s senior teams.

The Miles conference division two game between the St. Albert High Skyhawks (2-3) and Strathcona Lords (3-2) kicks off tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Emerald Hills Regional Park Artificial Turf in Sherwood Park.

The playoffs start Monday for the Skyhawks, the only Tier III (school population 450 to 749) team in the Miles that is ranked 10th in the province.

The second-last Carr conference division one game for the Paul Kane Blues and Bellerose Bulldogs is Friday at 5 p.m. for Paul Kane (1-5) against the Bev Facey Falcons (6-0) at Riel Recreation Park and 6 p.m. for Bellerose (3-3) against the Spruce Grove Panthers (4-2) at Fuhr Sports Park.
