Saturday’s tripleheader starts at 12 noon, with the third division men (2-6) playing the Clan (4-3-1).

At 2 p.m. the first-place division one women (6-2) scrum down against the Grande Prairie Sirens (0-7).

The Alberta Cup premier men tackle the Nor’Westers at 4 p.m.

SARFC (6-1), the Labatt’s Cup provincial champion the last two years and winner of five in a row, is second and the Nor’Westers (4-3) are third in the premier table.

The final registration total for the 27th annual St. Albert Triathlon is 180 for Sunday’s event at Fountain Park Recreation Centre.

Start time is 7 a.m. for the sprint distance (750-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike and five-km run), try-a-tri (250m swim, 10-km bike and 2.5-km run) and team relay.

Last year 192 triathletes completed the sprint distance.

The winner was Mark Brown of the Edmonton Triathlon Academy at 58 minutes and 54 seconds and the top female was Wietske Eikelenboom of St. Albert at 1:12:44 for 19th place overall.

The St. Albert Road Runners and Triathlon Club is hosting the Alberta Triathlon Association sanctioned race.

The St. Albert Men’s Soccer League all-stars light up the pitch Sunday.

Kickoff is 3 p.m. between the SAMSL all-stars and the St. Albert Impact division 1B men’s team in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

The all-star team is comprised of Jesse Yuzdepski (CB), Brandon Smith (OM), Michael Flynn (OM), Julian Gomez-Ramos (ST) and Dustin Weibe (ST), the Golden Boot winner as SAMSL’s top scorer with 10 goals, of Prestige Worldwide (12-0-2); Craig Cameron (CB), Matt Guay (CM), Terry Esposito (CM) and Amrit Saraf (OM) of Forest Park Rangers (9-2-2); Mike Fulton (WB), Aaron Stoddard-Lague (CM) and Matt Starcheski (ST) of Chester City (5-8); Ryan Krebes (GK), Joshua Johnston (CB), Jared Copeland (WB) and Hayden Sinclair (OM) of Magnitude FC (4-8-1); Sean Lygo (GK) and Luke Harrison (WB) of SA City (1-11-1).

Replaced due to injury or prior commitments, but were selected by their managers to represent their teams, were Kevin Hartmetz (CB) and Glen Johnston (WB) of Chester and Andrew DeVries (CM) of Forest Park.
