The Midget AAA Cardinals are beginning their final week of the regular season with a double header against the Calgary Rockies on Saturday afternoon. The sixth place red birds are taking the field against the fourth place Rockies at Legion Memorial Park for their first meeting of the season. The first game starts at noon on July 16 and the second game will follow at 3 p.m. The Cardinals continue the weekend with a third game against the Rockies on Sunday to wrap up the series. The teams hit the field on Sunday, July 17 at 10 a.m. All games are at Legion Memorial Park.

The St. Albert Senior Cardinals will also see some action next week against the Edmonton Pirates. The Cardinals are sitting third in the league and will be hoping to pick up another win against the last place and winless Edmonton Pirates. If the Cardinals get another win on their record, they will replace the Edmonton Brewers for the second place slot in the standings. The first pitch will be thrown on Monday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The St. Albert Tigers are playing their second last home game of the season this Wednesday against the Confederation Park Cubs. The third place Tigers (5-10-0) will be trying to put some distance in the standings between themselves and the fourth place Cubs (4-9-0). This will be the Tigers first game back on the field after a 19-2 blowout loss against the Red Deer Riggers. The Tigers and Cubs have met twice already this season and the Tigers have come up on top both times. The teams take the field on Wednesday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The St. Albert Impact premiere women face off this week against the Hearts United club in the Edmonton District Soccer Association. The Impact (9-4-0) sit third in the league with 27 points and with a win against the ninth place Hearts (2-9-2) they come closer to ousting the second place Green & Gold Women in the standings. The Impact will be hoping to come back from a loss during the first meeting with the Hearts this season. The teams take the field on Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.
