The Miners are 11-0-1 after their 11th win in a row, 9-5 over the Edmonton Warriors (6-6-1) in St. Albert.

The Miners have also defeated the Outlaws (3-8) twice by scores of 10-6 in Beaumont and 15-5 in St. Albert.

The host team for the Presidents’ Cup national championship has three games remaining before the RMLL playoffs after hosting the Outlaws.

Nationals are Aug. 29 to Sept. 4 at Leduc Recreation Centre.

Sunday’s doubleheader in the St. Albert Men’s Soccer League kicks off at 1 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.

Prestige Worldwide (6-0-2) plays Magnitude FC (3-4-1), followed by the 3 p.m. match between Forest Park Rangers (5-2-2) and SA City (0-9-1).

The St. Albert Senior (30-plus) Cardinals are up to bat Monday against the Spruce Grove Eagles in the Alberta West Central Baseball Association.

First pitch is 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

In mid-June, the Cardinals (6-3) lost 6-3 to the Eagles (5-4) in Spruce Grove.

The last game for the defending AWCBA champion Cardinals was 13-9 against the host Westlock Red Lions (5-5) June 24.

Last year the Cardinals, ranked third in the standings, beat the first-place Red Lions in the third and deciding game in the AWCBA final for the Lloyd Marklinger Memorial Trophy.

The St. Albert midget AA teams are up to bat Monday at Telus Field.

First pitch is 6 p.m. Cardinals Red and Cardinals Blue.

Cardinals Red is 27-3-1 overall and the record for Cardinals Blue was unavailable at press time.

Last year Cardinals Red finished 46-9 as the Baseball Alberta Tier 1 champions and Western Canada U18 silver medallists.

For the second year in a row, the St. Albert Minor Baseball Association is hosting the U18 midget, U15 bantam and U13 peewee AA westerns, Aug. 12 to 14 at Legion Memorial Park.

The St. Albert Tigers are back on the diamond Wednesday in the Sunburst Baseball League.

First pitch is 7 p.m. against the Sherwood Park Athletics (8-3) at Legion Memorial Park.

The Tigers (4-6) are winless in three games against the 2015 senior AAA provincial champions.
