The St. Albert Impact division 1B men’s and women’s teams play at home tonight in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Kickoff times are 7 p.m. for the Impact men (1-3) against the Scona Blues (1-3) and the Impact women (4-1-2) against the Angels Scottish Classics (3-1-2) at Riel Park.

The Impact men won their first match of the season last week and the Impact women are undefeated in four matches as the division leaders.

Chelsea Fitzgerald and Olivia Orman of the Impact are the top scorers in the women’s division with six and four goals, respectively.

The junior A St. Albert Miners are winless in eight games when they host the Sherwood Park Titans tonight in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse league.

Ball drop is 8 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.

The Miners are 2-8 and the Titans are 0-6 in the five-team circuit.

Last weekend the Miners lost 23-6 to the Calgary Raiders (7-1-1), last year’s provincial champions as the Okotoks Raiders, and 17-11 to the Calgary Mountaineers (9-1) in the Cow Town.

After the eight-game mark, Nik Farrus led the Miners in scoring with 20 goals and 40 points, followed by Mathew DeGirolamo with 26 points.

The St. Albert Rams Lacrosse Club hosts its annual Jeremy Richardson Memorial Baggataway Tournament this weekend at Servus Credit Union Place and the Akinsdale and Kinex arenas.

The 64-team draw starts Friday at 4:30 p.m. and ends with Sunday’s finals in the 10 divisions at 2 p.m. for bantam girls, 2:45 p.m. for peewee girls, 3 p.m. for novice girls, 3:45 p.m. for novice boys, 4 p.m. for peewee boys, 5 p.m. for midget girls, 5:30 p.m. for bantam boys and midget boys, 5:45 p.m. for peewee C and 6:30 p.m. for bantam C.

The St. Albert Rams are represented by 10 teams in seven divisions.

The junior B Tier I St. Albert Crude are back on the floor Friday in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Game time is 8:30 p.m. at Bill Hunter Arena.

Last weekend the Crude (3-7) suffered their fourth loss in a row, 16-9 against the Warriors (6-2-1) in Edmonton.

The Crude won three straight before getting out-scored 68-25 in four losses.

After nine games, the Crude were the most penalized team in the north division at 256.
