The Victoria Day Classic, hosted by the St. Albert Soccer Association, is underway for 30 male and 28 female teams.
The tournament draw features 15 Tier 1, 38 Tier 2 and five Tier 3 teams.
The St. Albert Impact are represented in several male and female divisions.
Medals will be awarded in U10 (pool A male, pool A female), U12 (pool A and B male, pool A female), U14 (pool A and B male, pool A female), U16 (pool A female) and U18 (pool A male, pool A female).
Field locations are Riel Park, Riel turf, St. Albert Rugby Football Club, Grosvenor, Salisbury, Forest Park and Hodgson Park, off Heritage Drive.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix U15 female Tier 1 team is challenging all teams at the tournament to contribute new hygiene supplies for the Fort McMurray evacuees.
A truck will be set up in the SASA parking lot this weekend to receive contributions.

The 27th annual Senior Bowl High School Football All-Star Game kicks off Monday for five Paul Kane Blues and three Bellerose Bulldogs on the north team
It’s a noon start time between the north and south at Commonwealth Stadium.
Tickets are $10. Admission is free for Fort McMurray evacuees.
Paul Kane will be represented by quarterback Brendan Guy, receiver Tanner Buchanan, offensive lineman Zach Dreger, kicker/punter Rosario Cammarata and defensive lineman Julian Pawlychka.
The Bellerose players are receiver Jaedon Carroll, offensive lineman Matt Flatla and defensive lineman Matt Heinrichs.
The 42-man north roster was selected at tryouts for graduating Grade 12 players.
The first annual Merch Madness Cup golf tournament, hosted by the St. Albert Junior B Merchants, tees off June 10 at the Sturgeon Valley Golf & Country Club.
The format is four-person scramble.
The shotgun start is 8 a.m. and dinner is 1:30 p.m.
Awards/prizes will be awarded to the winning team, most honest, longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.
A number of professional hockey players will be in attendance, allowing golfers the opportunity to “Beat the Pro” on certain holes.
