Kickoff times are 12 p.m. between the division one women and Crude/West, 2 p.m. between the third division men and Nor’Westers and 4 p.m. between the premier men and Nor’Westers.

SARFC is one of five women’s teams in the Edmonton Rugby Union’s new division one format after competing in the Alberta division one and ERU spring league last year.

The third division men are the defending ERU Visser Cup and provincial Digby Dinnie Cup champions.

Last year the premier men won their third-straight Ken Ann Cup north playoff final and repeated as the provincial Labatt’s Cup champions.

The SARFC home openers are June 11 for the premier men, June 29 for the women and June 30 for the third division men.

More than 600 students will complete the last 1.6 kilometres of their 42-km marathon at the WildOnes MaraFun on Sunday at Lions Park.

The warm-up program starts at 11 a.m. and the race times are 11:30 a.m. for Grades K-2, 11:45 a.m. for Grades 3-4 and 12 p.m. for Grades 5-6.

Students walked or ran one km at a time at their schools leading up to the sixth annual Leading Edge RunWild.

The St. Albert Senior (30-plus) Cardinals host the Westlock Red Lions on Monday in the Alberta West Central Baseball Association.

The first pitch is 6:45 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The defending AWCBA champions are 2-1 in league play after Monday’s 16-5 decision against the Edmonton Brewers at Wally Footz Field.

The Cardinals also blanked the Edmonton Heat 3-0 and lost 10-4 to the Fort Saskatchewan Red Sox in St. Albert.

Last year the Cardinals finished 14-7-1 in league and playoffs combined and in the best-of-three final doubled Westlock 6-3 in the deciding game for the Lloyd Marklinger Memorial Trophy.

The next game for the St. Albert Junior Cardinals in the North Central Alberta Baseball League is Tuesday against the Sturgeon Paladins.

The first pitch is 7:15 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The Cardinals lost 6-1 to the Barrhead Orioles in St. Albert and 10-6 against the Mets in Stony Plain to start the season.

The Cardinals are also hosting the NCABL-sanctioned Rainmaker Rodeo tournament May 27 to 29.

The senior AA circuit is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
