Tuesday’s umpire/coach rule clinic is free for parents, players and coaches in the St. Albert Minor Baseball Association.
Registration is not required for the 6 to 9 p.m. session at the Legion Memorial Park clubhouse.
The clinic is designed to better educate coaches, managers, parents, players and other interested non-umpires on the rules of baseball and to discuss and improve the on-field and off-field relationship between umpires and the above mentioned parties.
Topics include the role of the umpire and common rule myths, plus discussions about often-encountered rules and analysis of the relationship between umpires and other participants of the game.
A question and answer session concludes the clinic.
