The St. Albert Storm line up against the Battle River Shock in today’s midget spring league game in the Capital District Minor Football Association.
Kickoff is 12:30 p.m. at Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove.
League play started last weekend and the Storm lost 36-22 to the Edmonton Seahawks and the Shock beat the Edmonton Raiders 20-17 in Spruce Grove.
Midget spring league football features Grade 9, 10 and 11 players.
The St. Albert Bears and Beaumont Braves face-off Monday in the best-of-three Edmonton Rural Bantam AA Hockey League final.
Game two starts at 6:30 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
The Bears won Thursday’s series opener 2-1. Josh Klassen and Adam Olsen scored and Brady Kobitowich stopped a game-high 27 shots.
Game three, if needed, is 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at ROB Arena.
Metro Edmonton high school badminton resumes after the spring break with matches in St. Albert.
Monday in division three, the St. Albert Skyhawks (9-3, 39 GW/21 GL) play the Maurice Lavallee Jaguars (2-10, 16 GW/44 GL) and Queen Elizabeth Knights (3-9, 25 GW/35 GL) at the SkyDome.
Thursday the Paul Kane Blues (1-5, 7 GW/23 GL) host the St. Francis Xavier Rams (1-1, 5 GW/5 GL) in division two pool C action.
Match play starts after 3 p.m.
The playoffs begin April 13 in division three and April 14 in division two and the finals are April 18.
The fourth annual Donnie MAC Cup will bring together 64 hockey players at the April 9 fundraiser for Lung Cancer Canada.
The puck drops at 3 p.m. at the Akinsdale and Kinex arenas.
The majority of the players are St. Albert Minor Hockey Association alumni.
Proceeds will help benefit Lung Cancer Canada, the nation's only charitable organization focused on the support and education of those affected by lung cancer and their families.
The goal is to pass the $50,000 mark since the event’s inception.
The fundraiser honours the memory of Don MacMillan, a St. Albert resident who died of lung cancer in 2011 at age 61, as well as others affected by the disease.

They can also be dropped off at MAC Insurance at No. 8, 44 St. Thomas Street in St. Albert and MAC Registries at 14228 Stony Plain Road.
