The undefeated St. Albert SLAM midget A females hoop it up tonight against SW Mrazik in the Edmonton Youth Basketball Association.
Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Servus Credit Union Place.
The SLAM is 6-0 in league play.
The SLAM finished 4-0 as winners of the EYBA Ultimate Tournament at Saville Community Sports Centre last weekend.
In the final, the SLAM defeated the CBA Mount Royal Junior Cougars 58-48.
The SLAM has five returnees from last season’s 20-0 EYBA and provincial championship team and the midget roster includes nine players from the 2014 SLAM bantam A provincial winners.
The metro Edmonton division two senior volleyball playoffs started Monday for the Bellerose Bulldogs, Paul Kane Blues and Sturgeon Spirits.
The winners of the men’s and women’s pool A and B crossover playoffs qualified for Tuesday’s quarter-finals. Scores were unavailable at press time.
Monday in the men’s division, Paul Kane (8-2) hosted the W.P. Wagner Warriors (4-5), Bellerose (6-4) was in Sherwood Park to play the Archbishop Jordan Scots (7-2) and Sturgeon (4-6) visited the Holy Trinity Trojans (8-1).
The women’s division saw Sturgeon (8-0) host the McNally Tigers (1-7) in Namao, Paul Kane (7-1) entertained the Warriors (1-7) and Bellerose (4-4) had a road date with the Ardrossan Bisons (5-3).
The semifinals are Thursday.

The division two finals are Friday at 6 p.m. for the women and 8 p.m. for the men at Strathcona Composite High School.
The last division two senior champion from St. Albert since the merger of the metro and Edmonton public leagues was the Bellerose women’s team in 2013.
The winners of Tuesday’s semifinals in the St. Albert Physical Education Council junior high volleyball league will play the Lorne Akins Gators in the Tier I city championships Nov. 19 at Bellerose Composite High School.
Scores were unavailable between the Vincent J. Maloney Marauders (8-0) and Richard S. Fowler Falcons (5-3) in the girls’ division and Morinville Wolves (8-0) and Fowler (5-3) in the boys’ division.
The rest of the semifinal results were 3-2 for Lorne Akins (7-2) against the Sir George Simpson Voyageurs in the boys’ division and 3-1 for the Gators (7-2) against the Voyageurs (6-3) in the girls’ division.
Last year’s city champions were Lorne Akins for the boys and Simpson for the girls.
