The firsts (4-1, four BP) are undefeated in three matches as the top Alberta Cup team. The only loss for the Labatt's Cup provincial champions was 43-17 to the Irish (3-1, four BP) last month in Calgary.
The St. Albert Stars kick off their home opener today in the Alberta Football League.
Game time is 2 p.m. against the Fort McMurray Monarchs at Riel Recreation Park.
The Stars, Monarchs and Calgary Gators are 2-0 in the nine-team standings.
Last weekend, the Stars whipped the Edmonton Stallions (0-1) 45-3 at Johnny Bright Park and the Monarchs crushed the AFL champion Wolfpack (0-2) 84-0 in Calgary.
Last year, the Stars finished 3-5 overall in their second AFL season after losing 21-1 to the Monarchs in the quarter-finals.
The junior A St. Albert Miners face-off against the provincial champion Calgary Mountaineers today at 5:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
The Miners are 1-4 against the Mountaineers (11-2-1) in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League after Sunday's 11-6 loss in Calgary.
The Miners (5-9) played the Titans (2-10) in Sherwood Park on Friday but the score was unavailable at press time.

The top finishers advance to the provincial senior men's championship, July 28 to 30 at the Red Deer Golf & Country Club.
