The sixth place Cardinals have won five of their last ten games and the last place A’s have put only one win on the board in their last ten. The Spruce Grove White Sox 2 are in second-last place in the standings.

The Cardinals finished second in their pool, but came home empty-handed when they couldn’t clinch a spot in the semi-finals at the Cowboy Classic tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho July 3-7.

The Bantam AAA Cardinals are on the diamond against the Sherwood Park Athletics tonight at 7 p.m. at Legion Park.

On Sunday, the Cards beat the A’s for the first time this season with a hefty 13-3 score so the contest with Sherwood Park this evening is sure to be a heated one.

St. Albert has a 13-8 record and Sherwood Park has 12 wins and 10 losses.

It’s the St. Albert Impact versus Victoria in premier men’s soccer Thursday night in the Edmonton District Soccer Association action.

The teams hit the pitch at 7 p.m. at the Victoria Soccer Club in Edmonton.

Victoria (8-1) is the top-rated team in United Cycle premier men’s soccer. St. Albert (5-4-1) currently sits at sixth place in the ten-team division.

Catch the Miners versus the Spruce Grove Slash Saturday night at Northstar Hyundai Arena.

The ball drops between the two rivals at 6 p.m.

The Slash are currently in the senior B standings cellar with a 2-11 record and the Miners are holding on to the second place spot.

This will be St. Albert’s last home game before the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League playoffs. The team’s last game in regular season league play goes Sunday, July 14 against the fourth-ranked Edmonton Outlaws at 4 p.m. at Bill Hunter Arena.

The last time the Miners and Outlaws met was a heated match in St. Albert that saw the Miners take the win.

The Miners netted a thrilling 7-6 overtime victory in Airdrie Sunday afternoon when they faced off against the Rockyview Knights.

On Saturday, July 13 the St. Albert Rugby Football Club will have three teams in action.

At 1:45 p.m. the premier men will battle the Calgary Canucks at Calgary Rugby Park in the Alberta Cup fixtures.

In Edmonton the third division men will hit the pitch against the Sharks at Ellerslie Rugby Park and the second division men will tackle the Pirates at the Pirates Rugby Club. Both matches begin at 2 p.m.
