The St. Albert Cardinals host the Okotoks Dawgs White in today’s Norwest Midget AAA Baseball League doubleheader at Legion Memorial Park.

The 18th annual Spirit of the North wraps up today with a coloured-belt tournament at Servus Credit Union Place.
The traditional Okinawan karate competition starts at 10 a.m.

The St. Albert Men’s Soccer League kicks off its 33rd season Sunday with two matches scheduled at Riel Recreation Park.
The Rummies and Blues FC tangle at 1 p.m. and SA City plays Chester City at 3 p.m.
Last year the Rummies captured the league pennant at 15-0-1 and were bronze medalists at Tier IV provincials. The Blues won the playoff cup final in 2011.
SA City and St. Albert Impact have joined forces this year to form one team.
Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. GSE battles Arsenal at the Riel turf field.
GSE is the defending playoff champions and the Gunners were victorious in the 2010 final.
Rounding out the eight-team circuit is St. Albert United, playoff finalists in 2010 and 2011, and newcomer Magnitude FC. They meet on Mother’s Day at 1 p.m. at the Riel turf field.
Metro Edmonton high school men’s rugby kicks off Wednesday with a north division doubleheader at the Pirates Rugby Club.
The Paul Kane Blues and Bellerose Bulldogs hook up at 4:45 p.m. and the Sturgeon Spirits square-off against the St. Albert Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m.
Last year the Spirits repeated as premier conference champions and provincial Tier 1 (4A schools) bronze medallists and the Skyhawks won the city conference title and provincial Tier 2 (3A schools) consolation final.
