The Storm are 0-3 and Parkland is 1-1 in the Tier 1 and 2 division.

The last game for the Storm before the playoffs is May 3 versus the Edmonton Seahawks at 7 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park. The crossover game against the winless Tier 3 and 4 Seahawks doesn’t count in the standings.

The May 10 playoff game against the first-place team in the Tier 3 and 4 division starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Riel turf field.

The metro Edmonton high school rugby fixtures kick off Wednesday in the women’s premier conference.

The Bellerose Bulldogs scrum down against the Beaumont Bandits at 4:45 p.m. at Lynn Davies Rugby Park in Sherwood Park.

The women’s city conference starts May 7 and the men’s premier and city conferences go May 8.

The men’s and women’s finals are May 30.

The St. Albert Miners host the Sherwood Park Titans in Thursday’s junior A exhibition in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Ball drop is 8 p.m. at Northstar Hyundai Arena.

The Titans are the transplanted Edmonton Eclipse in the four-team junior A circuit.

Last weekend in Blackfalds, the Miners defeated the junior B Red Deer Rampage 10-5 and lost 8-5 to the Titans in exhibition action.

Each team had a handful of its regular players in the line-up as the coaches checked out the younger talent.

The St. Albert Rugby Football Club makes its season debut in the Edmonton Rugby Union next Saturday.

At 1 p.m. the first division women play the Rockers at the Nor’Westers Rugby Club and at 2 p.m. the second division men battle the Strathcona Druids at Lynn Davies Rugby Park.

The St. Albert Tennis Club is accepting membership registrations next weekend at the Mission courts facility.

The hours are 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Volunteers are asked to help clean up around the courts Saturday.

Lesson registrations will also be accepted Sunday.
