Third division men's rugby scrums down Saturday, when the St. Albert Rugby Football Club kicks off its 2015 fixtures against the Strathcona Druids.

The last time SARFC fielded a third division team in the Edmonton Rugby Union was 2013, but a 1-1-1 start, injuries and a lower than expected player membership required for three men's teams at the time resulted in the thirds' demise three months into the season.
There is no men's second division team this year.
The defending Labatt's Cup provincial champions kick off their Alberta Cup premier men's fixtures May 9 against the Druids at 4 p.m. at Ellerslie Rugby Park.
The women's provincial second division champions also make their season debut in the ERU spring league May 9 against the Druids at 2:15 p.m. at Ellerslie.
The junior A St. Albert Miners start the season at home this weekend in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.
The Miners host the provincial champion Calgary Mountaineers at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Akinsdale Arena and Sunday they play the Calgary Raiders at 12:30 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
Last year the Miners finished 1-17 in the four-team standings after going 2-13-1 in 2013 and 3-13-1 in 2012.
The St. Albert Miners visit the Sherwood Park Outlaws in Sunday's senior B lid-lifter in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.
Game time is 4 p.m.
The home opener for the Presidents' Cup national bronze medallists and provincial champions is May 8 against the South Edmonton Warriors at 8 p.m. at Go Auto Arena.
Last year the Miners lost only three games, all in a row at nationals, before beating Kahnawake Mohawks 7-6 in bronze final for their 27th victory.
The Miners ran the floor at nationals for the first time since posting 2-4 records in 2010 and 2011.
