In the senior B standings, the second-place Miners are 6-4 and the fourth-place Outlaws are 5-4-1.

St. Albert’s matchup against the Okotoks Raiders on June 23 was cancelled.

The next North Central Alberta Baseball League game for the St. Albert Cardinals is tonight versus the Sherwood Park Athletics.

First pitch is at 7:15 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.

The fifth-place Cards lost their last game to the Edmonton Warriors and are 5-5 in their first NACBL season. Sherwood Park currently sits in second place at 6-2.

The St. Albert Stars take on the 2012 national champion Lloydminster Vandals in the Alberta Football League on Saturday.

Kick-off is 1 p.m. at Clarke Park.

In their inaugural AFL season, the Stars (2-1) are third in the standings while the Vandals (1-3) sit at fifth place. Lloydminster, the defending champions, lost their last game by a huge margin when they were devoured by the Calgary Wolfpack 80-1.

St. Albert will host the Alberta Lacrosse Association A and C provincials July 5 to 7 at Servus Credit Union Place, and the Akinsdale and Kinex arenas. The St. Albert Rams will have at least four host teams in the peewee and bantam divisions.

The bantam A St. Albert Rams host team will play their first game of the championship against the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council leader at 1:30 p.m. at Northstar Hyundai Arena.

The Rams’ peewee A action begins against the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council division winner at 4 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.
