The A semifinals are Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Performance Arena and 1:45 p.m. at Mark Messier Arena.

The A final is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Performance Arena.

The only St. Albert team to win the tournament was the 1983 Territorial Leasing Sabres.

John Reid pool

In the City Ford division the host St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres skate Thursday against the Notre Dame Hounds at 10:45 a.m. and the Los Angeles Selects at 7:30 p.m. at Performance Arena.

The last game for the Sabres before the playoff round is Friday at 2:15 p.m. against the Cloverdale Colts at Performance Arena.

The Skybox Grill division features the Calgary Bisons, North Shore Winter Club Winterhawks, Sherwood Park Flyers and the Pursuit of Excellence Academy of Kelowna.

Jarome Iginla pool

The Access Pipeline division is comprised of the Calgary Royals, Semiahmoo Ravens, Prairie Storm of Balgonie, Sask. and the SSAC Southgate Lions.

The Riverside Honda division includes the Calgary Bronks, Burnaby Winter Club Bruins, CAC Canadians and Lloydminster Heat.

Tournament tickets

A four-day tournament pass is $40 for adults ($30 with no program) and $25 for students and seniors ($18 with no program).

Daily admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Children 10 and under get in free. There is no charge for Raiders Hockey Club and St. Albert Minor Hockey Association players wearing their team jackets.

A tournament program is $10.

Opening ceremonies

Thursday’s opening ceremonies at Performance Arena start at 7 p.m.

During the event the $1,000 John Reid Memorial Scholarship will be awarded. Previous recipients were Steven Woolger, Joshua Maeda and Justin Kueber.

Awards banquet

Bryan Mudryk, a TSN broadcaster from Boyle, is the guest speaker at Saturday’s tournament banquet, starting at 6 p.m. at the Mayfield Inn Ballroom.

The highlight of the night is the presentation of the John Reid Memorial Award for heart and hustle to a Sabres player. Previous winners were Tyler Mrkonjic, Jake Mykitiuk, Jed Groenenboom, Josh Winquist, Ryan Harrison, Steve Wall, Blaine Bokenfohr and Nate Fleming.

The tournament’s MVP award winners and all-star team selections will also be announced.
