Game four in the best-of-five Northern Alberta Midget AA Hockey League final starts at 7 p.m. tonight and game five, if needed, is 1 p.m. Sunday.
Last weekend in Peace River the Crusaders won the series opener 6-4, lost 3-2 in overtime and posted a 5-2 victory in game three.

The Crusaders were outshot in all three games by margins of eight, 14 and 16 as Connor Mckay (8-3, 2.75 GAA) backstopped the team to the series lead.

Tristan Gavin recorded hat-tricks in the first and third games while racking up seven goals and nine points. He leads all playoff scorers with 12 goals and 23 points in 11 games.

The Crusaders are 42-15-4 overall with seven returning players in the lineup. Last year they finished 50-10-6 after beating the Royals 8-2 in the deciding game for the championship in Peace River.

Metro Edmonton high school badminton resumes Tuesday after the spring break for the Bellerose Bulldogs, Paul Kane Blues and St. Albert Skyhawks.

In division two pool B the Bulldogs (5-2, 19 GW/16 GL) entertain the Sturgeon Spirits (5-2, 20 GW/15 GL) and St. Peter The Apostle Spartans (2-5, 12 GW/23 GL) and the Blues (1-6, 7 GW/28 GL) play the St. Francis Xavier Rams (1-6, 12 GW/23 GL) and the host Mother Margaret Mary Storm (1-6, 11 GW, 24 GL).

The Skyhawks (3-5, 19 GW/21 GL) visit the Oscar Romero Ravens (6-2, 23 GW/17 GL) in division three.

The playoffs start Thursday. The top four pool A and B teams in division two advance and all six division three teams qualify. The finals are April 13.

The Edmonton zone elimination tournament is April 15 to 24 and provincials are May 1-2 in Lloydminster.

The deadline to register online for the St. Albert Road Race is April 16.

As of Wednesday, 227 runners had been confirmed through www.zone4.ca for the April 19 competition hosted by the St. Albert Road Runners and Triathlon Club.

The registration breakdown includes 189 for the 30th annual 10-miler, 24 for the inaugural 10-kilometre race and 14 for the five-km run, which replaces the six-km event the last two years.

Last year 192 males and 134 females finished the 10-miler.
