Results at the tween U14AA Western Canada Ringette Championships in Calgary on Thursday will determine Friday’s schedule for the St. Albert Mission.
The Mission are in pool A with the Eastman Flames of Winnipeg and Team Saskatchewan (Buffalo Plains).
After playing twice on Friday, the Mission will advance into the medal round or the consolation round of the 12-team draw on Saturday.

The Mission’s overall record is 21-19-4. At provincials in St. Albert they finished 2-2 while placing fifth out of six teams.
The St. Albert Storm kicks off the midget spring league season in the Capital District Minor Football Association on Saturday in Spruce Grove.
Game time is 5:30 p.m. against the Lloydminster Red Dogs at Fuhr Sports Park.
Two of the Storm’s five games in division one will be played at Riel Recreation Park.
The top four teams advance to the May 2 semifinals and the teams finishing fifth and sixth meet in the consolation playoff May 1.
The Tier 1 and 2 finals are May 7.
Last year the Storm huddled up in division two and the team’s overall record was 2-4. Both victories were against the winless Leduc Cats, including the 42-0 consolation final.
Midget football consists of players in Grade 9 who have completed their bantam eligibility and Grade 10 and 11 players.
The next Storm game is April 1 versus the Millwoods Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. in Spruce Grove.
The Tim Hortons Canadian Ringette Championships start Monday for the St. Albert Mission in Fort McMurray.
It’s the second-straight year at nationals for the junior U16AA and belle U19AA teams.
Last year in Regina the juniors finished 13th and the belles placed 14th in the first AA season for both Mission teams.
The opening games at nationals are against Outaouais of Quebec and Team Alberta (Calgary Hype) for the juniors and Team B.C. and the Nepean Ravens for the belles.
The junior and belle playoff rounds begin April 1.

The juniors are 26-8-3 overall and the belles are 26-10-1 against U19AA teams and 31-16-4 overall.
At provincials in St. Albert the juniors placed fifth at 2-2 and the belles finished 4-1 as bronze medallists. A 2-1 loss by the belles in a 10-minute mini-game tiebreaker was the difference between playing for gold or bronze.
