Tonight at 7 p.m. the St. Albert Cardinals host SEEBA 1 at Legion Memorial Park in the Norwest Midget AAA Baseball League.
The Cardinals (8-10) are winless in three games, including recent losses of 2-1 and 10-0 to SEEBA (4-6).
The St. Albert Miners hit the floor tonight against the Edmonton Eclipse in junior A lacrosse action in the Rocky Mountain league.
Game time is 8 p.m. at Northstar Hyundai Arena.
Last week the Miners (3-4) lost 6-4 to the Eclipse (3-1) at Bill Hunter Arena.
Saturday the Miners travel to Okotoks to play the first-place Raiders (5-1-0) at 6:30 p.m.
The St. Albert Impact premier men’s soccer teams have a doubleheader scheduled Thursday at Riel Park.
Kickoff times are 6:30 p.m. between Impact 1 and Victoria and 8:15 p.m. between the Impact Rangers and AC Milan 1.
Impact 1 (3-2-1) is tied for second place and the Rangers (1-4-1) are ninth in the 10-team standings in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.
The 15th annual Fastball St. Albert Invitational Tournament starts Friday at 6 p.m. at Meadowview Diamonds.
The opening ceremonies are 8 p.m. and Mayor Nolan Crouse will throw out the first pitch.
The 35-team draw features six St. Albert Angels teams in the girls mite, squirt A and B and peewee A and B categories. There are also midget girls and bantam boys divisions.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary for Fastball St. Albert.
Registrations are being accepted for St. Albert’s first longboard competition on July 1.
The event goes from 12 to 4 p.m. at Kingswood Park.
Youths can participate in the downhill race and/or push race. No experience is required. The four skill levels are junior I for six- to nine-year-olds and beginner, intermediate and advanced levels up to age 21.
The downhill race promises to test skills and nerves as participants race head-to-head down one of the fastest sections of Woodlands Road.
The push racecourse features a four-kilometre paved trail system winding and twisting its way through the heart of the city.
Full-face helmets and slide gloves are required. Leathers or double denim are suggested. Rules are posted on www.stalbert.ca/longboard-competition.

The cost is $12 for one race or $20 for both before June 20. The fees then double to $22 one race and $40 for both.
